		News Stories- Dance Workshop
 To help celebrate  World Book Day our Reception and KS1 children enjoyed Dance workshops with a professional dancer from 'West End in Schools.'  They brought the book, 'Where the Wild Things Are,' to life through movement, gesture and dance. - Cross Country
 Well done to the 40 children that took part in the area Cross Country Competition. All the runners did brilliantly well. We had 2 first places, 1 second and 1 third place. - Visit to Segedunum Roman Fort
 Class 4 visited Segedunum Roman Fort, in Wallsend, as part of their Roman project. - Music Demonstration
 Last week, the whole school enjoyed listening to a music demonstration from the North Yorkshire Music Service. - Y5/6 Football Competition
 Well done to our Y5/6 Football team who won the area competition. - Thirsk Swimming Gala - January 2023
 Well done to our school swimming team who won the Thirsk Swimming Gala last week. - Y5 and Y6 visit the Gym
 Each Tuesday this term the Y5 and. Y6 are visiting the local Gym club to be taught Gymnastics - Brass Lessons
 The Y5 children are all learning to play a brass instrument this term. - Musical Evening
 There were lots of nerves 
as we had not been able to do this for the last two years but they all played 
or sang brilliantly, I was so proud of them all! - Carlton Lodge - Climbing activities for Yrs 3 and 4
 Classes 3 and 4 launched their new topic 'Marvellous Mountains' with a trip to Carlton Lodge.
